PRODUCER & DIRECTOR of ANIMATION
Danny has worked in the art of film and animation for over 30 years. After doing some post graduate film studies in the 80’s
at San Francisco State University and San Francisco City College, he began his film/animation career on Gumby. His experience working on Gumby landed him a position on Nightmare Before Christmas which was released in 1993. He continued on in stop motion animation working on James And The Giant Peach. It was a time of digital transition. Danny joined Pixar to do computer animation after the release of James and the Giant Peach. He worked as an animator on most of the Pixar movies beginning with A Bugs Life. Other notable films he worked on at Pixar were Toy Story 2 and 3, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Walle, Up, Cars and various short format projects. Danny helped build the Pixar Toy Story Zoetrope which continues to travel the world in the Art of Pixar exhibit. After leaving Pixar in 2014, Dan has consulted and animated on various projects including Jibo (a personal assistant Robot) and has most recently gone back to his stop motion roots working with the stop motion crew of the Spike and Mike Festival documentary. Currently Danny is heading up the stop motion crew for Lady Long Rider in our San Francisco animation division Ani1.
